Organizational and Community Support
Teaching organizations and communities how to better support their members going through the IVF experience.
RVT IVF works with organizations and communities to better support the fertility journeys of their members. This work includes:
Facilitating support groups of people going through IVF/IUI/surrogacy
Training and supporting clergy to offer better care
Leading workshops on how institutions can better serve their members’ fertility experiences
Creating and facilitating communal rituals
Speaking and teaching on the topics of family building and infertility
As part of these support groups, trainings, and workshops, RVT IVF engages with topics including:
Holding safe and brave space for stress, uncertainty, pain, and fear of the IVF/IUI/surrogacy process
Coping with loss and change
Celebrating milestones and successes
Ritual and spiritual support, including embryo burial
Identifying and connecting to resources, coping mechanisms, and sources of resilience
Helping you draw on your own wisdom to make sense of your experience
Strategizing for strong communication with your care team and for positive medical appointments
Considering how to share information with your community to get the support that you need
Navigating conflict within or between families
Supportive care before and after scans and appointments
Marking time and stages, including egg retrievals, transfers, procedural scans, receiving results
Ongoing support before, during, and after pregnancy
